Hello to all my followers. Hope everyone is having a good Saturday morning. The boys said they are having a good Friday, but they don't feel like playing tonight. They are tired. At least when we got there they were tired. We texted their nurse to let them know that we would be a few minutes late, and she said that's to bad, Patrick is wide awake! I said oh no, we will be there as soon as we can. It's funny, because she said that at certain times, he is wide awake. It's usually at 11 or 12, and at like 3 am. I laughed and said yes, they were always my night time babies. I said from 11p to 12 a, they were always active because that is when I ate my dinner at work, and snacked at home. 3 to 4 am is when I got home from work and took a shower, and I used to spray them with the shower head, and they would always fall asleep. She laughed. They liked the warm water. Whenever they were all kicky and squirmy, and they would push on me and hurt me, I would either put my cell phone on my belly and play lullabies, or take a warm shower. They would always go right to sleep. She said yeah each night at those times, he wakes up, and looks around for awhile. Not tonight though, he was out.
Patrick
They had to place another cath today for him. They had to take the Picc line out because of the possible infection. This stinks, because the other catheters don't last as long as the Picc line does. That means they have to keep replacing them. He has had three since they took it out already. They were going to do one in his head, but his primary stopped them, and said, his hair was just growing back, let's look for another vein! She found one, and got it in first try. Again, their nurses=love! His vent was being turned down tonight. They are going to do his blood gases afterward, and if they are okay, they will leave him at a lower setting. he is up to 4 ml of milk again. I guess they go up every twelve hours. He is handling it well. He was 2 lbs and 9 oz still. He looked cozy tonight.
I thought he was going to smile. He didn't.
So many catheters
So tired, it is hard work healing your body.
Brady
Brady is up to 7.5 ml of food tonight. He looked tired tonight. I was a little worried when I got there. It is hard work to be on the cannula. One doctor thought he was ready, one did not. He seems to be doing well, but sometimes he does look tired. His stats have been good, so he if fighting. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back on CPAP again, if he gets tired. I held him for a little bit, and he did okay, but I did have to tap his back once because his nurse said his heart rate looked like it was starting to slow. He came out of it though. He just falls asleep because he likes to be held and rubbed, but then he gets to comfy, and forgets to breath. Slightly stressful. His eye looked good tonight though. He was a whole 2 lbs 12 oz.
I'm sleepy today
I'm going to put these here, then in my eye okay mommy?
Please close my house, and let me rest
Alright all, have a great day!
The Connors
