A momentary sigh of relief

Morning to all. I know everyone is anxious about the boys, so let's get right down to it.

Patrick
Patrick looked a lot better tonight. When we got there, he was responsive to our voice. He started to open his eyes and wiggle around.  That was already better than it was last night. He was on room air for most of the night, and doing well. They were able to find platelets for him last night so he did get a transfusion. He looked more pink tonight, which is usually from the blood. He was also a little swollen, but that could be from that too. Usually they give Lasix with it. His platelet count did come up, but so did the tests for the infection.  The platelets did go down a little bit since the last labs, but not enough to transfuse again. The eye culture so far is negative. He is doing well on the conventional vent so far. We just called at 12:30 and the blood results were not in yet. Hopefully we will have some news by the morning. He was angry for his face cleaning again. Not as much as usual, but very close to it. When I wiped his chin, he was mad, which is normal, so I was happy to see that. He was 2 lbs. 5 oz this evening.
Dreaming of being infection free
Mom and dad, is that you?
How cool do I look with my hawk hair? Precious.

Brady
Brady is doing well tonight. Craig gave him a bath tonight. This was a first for Craig. There was a lot of giggling from him, then I heard him say, uh oh. What happened? Brady gave him a poop diaper!!! Craig had two big firsts tonight!  Best of all, he kept pooping! It wouldn't stop through out the bath! Brady's nurse would be so proud. Whenever Craig picks him up to weigh him, she always cheers him on and tells him to poop in daddy's hand! He made us proud tonight, haha. He was 2 lbs 9 oz. tonight. He was doing well on his mask. He actually upgraded to a bigger mask, so his nurse gave us his old one to take home.

                                                                         Feeling clean

I tried to black bar his weenie, but it wouldn't work.

Tonight's big thank you goes out to Lindsay! She was sweet enough to give us some of her son Ethan's clothes and toys! I can't wait to dress them up! Thanks Lindsay!

Good night all!
The Connors
