News beds for the boys...to bed for mom and dad

Good morning all. Hopefully when you all are reading this we will be sound asleep in bed still. We are so tired. I don't know why though. Maybe it's because it has been a decent week, and finally the lack of sleep, instead of worries, has finally kicked us in the face. I almost didn't blog again tonight, but said there is no way I could do it to you all two nights in a row. That is shenanigans! So here it is.

Patrick
Patrick is chillin with a belly full of milk still. No poop for a few days though. The doctor is not worried, so either are we. Yea right, of course I'm worried. I couldn't even type that with a straight face. This is the nonsense that happened last time. His belly is still nice and soft though, and it looks good, thankfully! His nurse stimulated him a little tonight, so maybe by 2 am he will go. he is up to 2.5 ml of milk. I have pumped there with him the last two nights, and that seems to help. That might be "tmi" but at this point in the blog, I feel you know everything abut everything, so it is what it is. We changed his bed tonight, and it went very well. He did not turn blue, we did not panic, and I even got to hold him in his bedding for about 20 seconds. We will get to a full hold one day..one day. They are weaning him down more on his vent which is great.  He was 2lbs 4 oz. tonight.

Brady
Brady is hanging in there too. He is still getting the same feeds at 6.8 ml. He is handling them well. He did have a ginormous poop last night at 2 am which is great! he is doing well on his mask today. he had one small bradycardia episode, but recovered himself. He also had a bed change today. The doctor signed him up for more kangaroo care. He did it, but probably isn't supposed to do it. Haha, doctor's are silly.  We did get to snuggle a little tonight, which was nice. He smelled like delicious baby skin and formula. I hate the smell of formula, but I guess when it is on your kid it is yummy. Weird. He was 2 lbs 5 oz. His eye looks good tonight. He did not like me wiping it though.

Last but not least, our first (half of a family) photo, we will get Patrick in there as soon as we can! Can't wait for them to meet each other!
