Doctors that are pleased!

Hey there everyone. It's Friday, and you know what that means. Actually, you may not know what that means. Each Friday marks a milestone for the boys. Today the boys are 31 weeks old. Yea! When I was pregnant, I signed up for Baby Center weekly updates. They are basically a "what's happening in your belly right now" update. I was going to stop them once I delivered, but then I thought, it might be cool to see where the boys should be, and what should be developing at this time. I will say though, each Friday my phone goes off with an update, I look, and laugh, because they are here. Tonight we saw the doctor during her rounds. She said she is very pleased with the boys and how well they are doing. She wants to take Patrick off his vent so bad, but it waiting jusuust until his feeds are better. She said that his tape was loose tonight, and she almost took it out, but someone went in front of her and replaced it. She said oh darn! She laughed and said if he pulls it out, she might just look away for a second.

Patrick
Our little man is up to 4.5 ml of milk tonight! Yea! I can't believe it. He was just at 2 ml like two days ago. He was 2 lbs 4 oz. tonight. Craig did most of his hands on, because I was was snuggling with Brady. I know that his diaper was poop free, and now I am convinced they only poop for me.  Craig said he was pretty relaxed tonight, and did well during his hands on. They had to fix his tube tape a little, because whoever fixed it originally, put some of it on his eye. Not cool. When I went to take pics, his little eye looked a little teary, like it was irritated. He was sleeping well though which is good. I am thinking by the end of the week he will be off of his vent. I am so excited, yet terrified.
Get this tape off my eye!
                                                                  All tucked in!
                                                                     Dreaming of CPAP...or milk

Our big man was a big 2 lbs 6 oz. He did well tonight also. No poop for him either Craig is so lucky.  We were able to do kangaroo time again tonight, so I hung out with him for a little bit. he is doing well on his mask. They put some padding on his face where his tubes and straps are. We were happy with whoever did it. The one on his for head didn't even look dented, so it looks like it was working. He had them on his cheeks too. I am not sure how much formula he is getting. The syringe had a lot in it though. I have to find out tomorrow.

Padding on my face..looks bad, but so helpful!
                                                               Tucked in to mommy's tank.
That's the way uh huh, I like it

Any day now I will report another CPAP. Trust me, I  want it, but don't want it. I would rather them wait until they are sure, so that he doesn't have to be re tubed. The resp. therapist asked me a few days back if we wanted to be there when they extubated him. I said no, and very quickly, haha. I get stressed when the monitors go red, I do not need to be there when the alarms go off!

Alright friends, have a great day!
The boys, and their diaper changers.
