Oxygen for the babies

Good evening to all. Let me start off my saying, I am in a better mood tonight. Let me also say that I miss their primary nurses already! It has only been two days. Don't get me wrong, I like all the nurses. It's more of a "I feel better because the other nurses know their history and know their behavior, and what is normal for them" issue that I have. It's like, when I go to the OB, and I have been seeing the same one forever, but she goes to an emergency c-section, and your like that's okay, but then you stop and say, oh man, I don't know how I feel about someone else checking out my undercarriage, you know? You get into a groove with the nurses, then, they are gone, and there is that weird, "okay, here is our routine." We are used to doing everything when their primary nurses are there. We do diapers, facial cleaning, blanket changes, and weights. We love doing these things, and we have been taught well on how to do each properly.  When other nurses are there, we can do a diaper, and some face stuff, but they do everything else. It is a little awkward. I miss you Primary nurses, I miss you!

Patrick
Patrick went onto the CPAP today! Yea Patrick! Way to go little man!  This is good because it means he is improving, and he gets the infected tube out of his lungs! This is bad because know his chances for more Retincrapothy go up! Oh no, what do we do? Nothing. We just sit and wait, like always. He seems to be doing okay on it. The resp. therapist said he is stable at this time. There's that word again stable. You know what that means. He is a little bit luckier because he has a different helmet than Brady did. This was is new, and it doesn't crush his face as much. He was 2 lbs and 13 ounces again tonight. He is still getting 7.5 ml of formula/milk. He did poop last night a lot, which is good, because his stomach was getting bigger, which always makes us nervous.
                                                                                Look at me!
                                                                     Much more comfy
                                                                   There is my little face!

Brady
Brady is stable at this time. His nurse said he did "Dsat" a few times. He was on about 26% oxygen. He went up to 26 ml of food. I don't know what his weight was because his nurse already did everything before we got there. It was like a hurricane today so it took us a while to get there with traffic and such. Craig was able to feed him tonight, but that was about it.
                                                                   Daddy giving me dinner
                                                                         Yummy food!
                                                                  After a full tummy
                                                                         Tummy time after eating

Have a great day everyone!!!
The Connors
