Kangaroo times two!

Good morning everyone! How is the coffee today? Hopefully yummy. Tonight was a busy little night in the NICU. There was a lot of kangaroo care going on, which is awesome! I know everyone gets so excited about that, so let's get started!

Brady
Brady had some blood today so we were happy with that. He looked a little more pink and healthy.  He didn't have any bradycardia episodes today which is good. He did have a few episodes where his saturation was low, but that is normal for him. His eye culture came back negative. He is getting his bolus feeds. He received his formula today while I held him. He feel asleep shortly after. He slept quite well. His weight today was 2 lbs 14 oz. He is getting so close to 3 pounds, I can't believe it!

Patrick
Patrick received platelets today. He looked a little yellow, but was otherwise okay. I was able to kangaroo him for a long time today. He did very well, and slept like a champ while in my tank top. He had a full bath and a bed change today, because he filled his bed with pee, all the way to his chest almost. Daddy got a poopy diaper, and a pee filled diaper. Awesome. He was 2 lbs 11 oz. tonight. His tracheal culture came back positive again. We weren't able to speak to the doctor tonight, but will ask tomorrow what the plan is.
