Transfusion day

Good morning. Today we went to go visit the boys, and brought some extra family too. Rosemary, (Craig's mom cousin,) was in town from New York. This was her first time seeing the boys, she was very excited.
The boys had a decent day today. They both received blood transfusion, and they both had little baths today.

Patrick
Patrick seems to be doing okay today. They turned his O2 down a little, and even went down on a vent setting. He is down to 1 on his Fentanyl also. They decided to wait to start feeding until maybe Monday. They will also do his brain scan, and follow up x-rays on Monday also. His belly looked less swollen today. The biggest news, was on the tiniest part of his body. His bruised ear is completely healed. The Plastic surgeon came down and looked at it, and prescribed some new medicine. There was a bruise there yesterday at 2 pm while we were visiting, today it was gone. Like nothing was ever there. It has been there for  like 2 weeks, and within one night, gone. I don't know what that cream was, but I think it might be from Hogwarts. They were going to replace his tube tape when we were heading out. I lotioned him up tonight, body and head, and gave him a new hair do.  I feel so bad because the front and middle of his head has thin hair now because of all the cath tape being ripped off. I had to give him a comb up, instead of a comb over. I had to push it from the back. Poor kid. He is 2 lbs 2 oz.

Brady
Brady is doing good also. They stopped his feeding today because of the transfusion, but started it again tonight. He is up to 5.3 ml/hr. He is 2 pounds today. They said that his heart rate was a little higher today and his O2 saturation was a bit lower. That can be because of the PDA. The blood helps with that. They said he was doing better tonight. We managed to get out of there without a poopy diaper again. I know it's coming, and it's going to be a whopper! He was making his monitors go off again before we left, so they flipped him on his belly. That seemed to help.
                                                                             The boys like lady visitors
Trying to find his thumb I think
All in all it was a stable night, which is awesome. Hopefully Monday will give us more good news.
Good night all!
Em
