Saturday night check in

Good Morning all. Sorry I didn't post last night. By the time we had arrived home it was after 1, and after 2 before we got into bed. I was just tired, haha. Otherwise, all is well here. We had some good news, and then some of the same news. Which, don't get me wrong, no big changes are good changes, but some you want to change.

Brady
Brady is doing well. He is still on room air, and doing well on his ventilator. He is off of all of his lights, and only on the Biliblanket. The Biliblanket looks like something straight out of Avatar, it's actually really cool looking. He did not need a transfusion today, and they are only checking his blood gases once daily, which is awesome. Less blood coming out, less blood having to go back in to replace it. They are still not going to do the echo until Monday. The doctor said he wants to see if the medicine is going to kick in and do it's job. Since they just gave the second does, he feels that checking the echo right away might not show any difference, so lets give it a chance. He did say that he doesn't know if they will do a third dose. If this one doesn't work, he will have the cardiologist take a look, and then decide if he needs to have the surgery to fix it or not. Pray for us that he doesn't. The nurses said it is very quick, and the cardiologist is amazing. Craig and I are just worried that ;
1. He is so little.
2. Is he stable enough to make it through surgery?
3. An incision means a place for an infection to creep in.
4. Recovery.
So, hopefully we will see a difference Monday, and not have to worry about it. Otherwise, he is doing very well. He managed to take off his visor while we were there, and the nurse had to put it back on. Then he got his arm stuck to his sticky lead.  He is allowed to have a blanket on his incubator now, so we will be able to give him something from home.
Patrick
Patrick is doing well also. He did need another transfusion. He is still on his lights, so no blanket for him yet. :( He is doing well on his oscillator vent. He is on 28 % O2. They did a recheck echo on him after his rounds of meds, and it did almost go away completely! The doctor said it is very small and barely there, which is awesome. He didn't need anything else working against him. So good news for the little guy.
Thanks for checking in everybody!
