Good morning to all. How is your breakfast? I hope it is delish. Right now being in the Nicu kind of stinks, yet is kind of nice. We have to split up each night to take care of the boys. We trade of every night so that we get to spend time with both boys. Like, tonight, I had Brady, and Craig had Patrick. We used to spend an hour with Patrick, then go and spend an hour with Brady because his feeding would be due right when Patrick's hands on was done. This worked out well until Brady turned into a cranky puss when we wanted to eat. Tonight, we started with Patrick, and I had just enough time to snap two pictures, then I was whisked off to Brady. I hate having them separated. On the other hand, because Brady is doing so well, we are able to bring him to Patrick, and they can have a visit for a little bit.

Patrick
Patrick was up and down tonight. he was sating low for Craig, and they had to turn up his oxygen to like 40 %. He did drink all of his bottle, but it took him awhile. Everyone thinks that he loves his mommy time, because he seems to be doing very well with me lately. Once I got over to his section, I took over holding him, and his saturation went up to the 80's and 90's, and his oxygen went down to 28%. It's funny, he used to hate kangaroo time, remember? I always had to put him back after 5 minutes because he used to get so stressed out. Now, he loves sitting with me. They are going to keep him in the acute section for a few more days, or I guess as long as it takes for him to get his oxygen issues together. No one is rushing him, and that is okay. He weighed 4.8 pounds tonight.

Brady
Brady is chugging along. Everyone thought that he was going to come home on Thursday. We couldn't get a definite on that so we didn't think it was true. We finally talked to his doctor and the nurse practitioner, and they said maybe Friday or Saturday. They said that as long as he is still getting gavaged, they are going to keep him. They want to see him have a few days of solid feeding before they let him go. They said they would rather make sure that he is okay, then him go home and not eat, then he has to come back. We have been saying that all along. This gives us a few more days to clean the house and get ready for his arrival. Plus, he is getting his eye exam tomorrow, which is stressful, so they don't want him to have to much in one day. He got an injection today for RSV virus. He wasn't pleased for about 5 seconds, but then he stopped crying, and went back to sleep. We are starting to take some pics of him with his nurses, and doctors before he leaves. We also left their baby books there so that they can all leave notes for the boys.

Tomorrow is the big day for eyes. We will find out of Brady's eyes are healing, and if the Avastin worked on Patrick. They said that they should see some results for the better. Cross your fingers!
Have a good day!
