Bath time for the boys!

Morning! Hope everyone is having a good day. The boys had a good day today. They both had a spa day. Patrick had his tonight, and Brady had his during the day.

Patrick
Well guess what? Patrick is still on the nasal cannula. I can't believe it has been 24 hours. He seems to be doing well, and he is on about 30% oxygen. That is okay I guess. He is still dsating after his dinner, but it is because of his acid reflux. Hopefully that will resolve soon. He is up to 33 ml of food tonight. I noticed yesterday that the inner part of his right eye was all blood shot. Tonight it looked a little more pink, and his eyelids looked pink too. Hopefully the doctor didn't infect him with something, or worse, scratch it. There was no discharge from it, so they are going to watch it. He didn't last very long in his topless incubator. He was a little cold, so they put the lid back on. That's okay, one thing at a time. His nurse did give him a bath tonight, since he hadn't had one for a few days. I tried to get some pics, but she did it really fast! She wanted to make sure that his temp didn't  drop. Now that I am typing this, I realize that I should have taken a video instead. Big dummy. Oh well. He gained a little more weight tonight, but not a lot. Otherwise, he looked healthy again, which I like. The doctor tonight seems to think that maybe the IVIG helped, so maybe that is why we are seeing a difference.
                                                                                  Little bath in a bucket!
                                                                                  Quick! Cover me up!
He is getting so big! 39 cm

Brady
Brady is hanging in there. He was 2005 grams tonight. He is allowed to "nipple as tolerated." Which means, they can nipple each feed. They haven't been because he gets tired, but they can once he is strong enough. He was also got the okay to breast feed. Maybe we will try it...next week. I am unsure how I feel about still, but am totally willing to try it, but I think I know that I will hate it. I could be wrong. Anyway, he seems to be doing well with being off of his O2. I forgot to mention yesterday that the nurses went around the progressive unit, and were picking out girlfriends for Brady. They said they found him a cute "term"girl. We were all laughing! I said, if you are a a "term girl" dating a preemie, does that make you a cougar? The kid is 36 weeks old, and I already had to have the birds and bees talk with him last night! As soon as Patrick gets over to Progressive, they will be finding him a girlfriend too! Those nurses are to much!
My nurse did my hair! Mo hawk!
                                                                                    Tucked in for the night
                                                                                Hi everyone!

We have more blood work tomorrow, so I will let you all know how that goes on Monday nights post.

Have an awesome day!
