I am also running out of ways to greet you all. Hi, how are ya? Great. We are too, so let's get started!
Patrick
I received a text message at 4 am from Patrick's nurse. He had his labs run at 12am. His platelets came back at 116! Yea! They are going up which is awesome! Today he was quite the little snuggle bug. I didn't want to put him back in his bed, but I can't hold him all night. His oxygen was a little high tonight. He was at 39%. He was struggling a little tonight, but wasn't going completely downhill. His nurse said that his acid reflux, and the extra fluid in his body was working against him. If they have to keep turning his O2 up, they will put him back on the CPAP. They did start him on Lasix to help the fluid. They said that they will keep him on the nasal cannula as long as he doesn't have to have the 02 up. The problem is, he has to learn how to do it himself at some point, he can't rely on the CPAP forever. They did suction him to see if that would help, but nothing came out. He weighed 1830 grams. It was a little bit up from last night, but he does have the extra fluid. he had a little bath today, and was looking good.
I'm getting hungry
This means I want my milky!
All snuggled up in my matching blankets and hat!
Brady
Brady did well tonight. He finished his whole bottle for daddy. I am convinced that I am doing something wrong, because he rarely finishes it for me, haha. He had a bath also. After his bath he filled a diaper up with poop. Clean up in aisle one of progressive! He seems to be doing well off of his oxygen. His saturation goes down a little sometimes, but he pulls himself back up. He weighed 4.8 ounces. He is nippling as tolerated still. He gets his feeds in a tube every once and a while, but otherwise he gets the bottle.
Hi friends!
If he does this face after he does something bad, I might be in trouble!
I stick my tongue out at you!
Alright my friends! Until tomorrow!
The Connors
