Patrick
Little man is having a good day two days. Last night his oxygen was at 22 %, and on occasion was at 21%, which is room air. Tonight it was at 22% when Craig got there, but they had to turn it up while feeding to 25%. That's not bad at all. I think the most we turned it up last night was 23% while feeding. I will take that. He did very well for his feeding last night. It took him a while to finish, but he did. I was so happy that the nurse took a picture of it.
Hey we celebrate everything good in this house. I learned today that is bad parenting from Hoda and Kathy Lee. You shouldn't celebrate everything they do, that's not good for them them say, but I have never really cared what they say, so whoo hoo to you Patrick. He drank all of his bottle tonight too. They actually started him on "as tolerated" for feeds, which means that he can can have have all of his food by bottle each time. What he doesn't finish goes down his tube, but he gets a bottle each time. That is great. He did get a bath today, and was looking good. They didn't say much in rounds, just that he was doing good, and they are hoping he continues on that path. His weight was 2350, he lost a little. No biggie. Alright I have a lot of pictures for you.
Before hands on, I hate waking him sometimes!
Mom, why did you wake me?
I have to hold his head sometimes so all the pictures aren't blurry.
"Oooh" face like Brady
Brady does this same face before he burps. They really do look identical here!
No caption here, just thought it was funny!
Craig, and his mini-me
Brady
Brady had another busy little day today. We had the eye doctor today, and a 2 week follow up with his pediatrician. The eye doctor was at 830 am again. I am happy to report that Dr. no Tact is starting to grow on me. He is getting nicer as we go, and is starting to talk more. I am gong to take back my previous statements that I dislike his attitude, and I am going to upgrade his status. I don't what he is right now, so let's leave it as "better than before." Craig held him today for his exam so that he could watch the "Saw"show. The doctor said that he was very pleased with the results. He said that he is still seeing positive results in both eyes. He said that can he guarantee that he won't need another shot down the road, no, but so far so good. He is seeing him in two weeks, instead of one, so that is good. We told him we would talk to him tomorrow because he seeing Patrick. He laughed and said this is going to be confusing.

We had a little break in between appointments today. The next one was his pediatrician, who we really like. I am glad that we chose him, he seems to know a lot about the nicu, which makes me less nervous. He said that Brady looked really good, and he was pleased with his growth. He is on the charts for his height and weight for his "age." He said he is a little chunky for his height but that's okay, because he wants him to gain weight. It is funny to think that his is chunky. He is still so little to me! I will always think of him as my little 1 pounder I guess. He said said he can eat however much that he wants. He also said we could try prune juice to help his little "situation." We asked him some information on Circumcision last week. We tried to get them to do it in the hospital before they left, but the wouldn't. They said it was an outpatient thing. Well, now, that might cause us a problem. They said usually at this "age" there can be more issues now. They said his weight is in the good range for them to do it, but because he is older now, there can be complications like some extra bleeding from the incision, and he may need sutures. They won't do it in office either, we might have to go see a urologist, or specialist for it. They said that the older they get, the more vascular it gets down there, so it could bleed more. That being said, I am going to tell the Nicu this, and hope they can do it on Patrick before he leaves. He might need a hernia repair anyway, so they will do it with that. Besides for that, the pediatrician said he looks good, and he will see him in two weeks also. He was 6 pounds and 9 ounces.
The boys watching TV
Tonight's book, Five little Monkeys. Thanks Kim J!
Finally sleeping
Okay, so when the boys arrived at the nicu three and a half months ago, they told us that we could bring some cameras and put them in their beds. That way the nurses can take pictures of them when they have big moments so that we had the memories of them. Well, Patrick's first primary was telling us the story awhile back, that one night she heard Brady's third primary off in his corner giggling. She asked what he was doing and she said Brady was helping her chart things in the computer. She was holding him and he was being silly. They took pics of him that night. Another night, the fire alarm went off,, and no one did anything. We laughed and asked what the protocol is, and they said, we have these vests that we put on, and we put the babies in the holes. We laughed an asked to see one, but the nurse at the time, didn't know where it was. Long story short, here are some of the pictures that we got back last night, hahha.
Look how little he was!
Please, no pictures!Hey Beth, look at my pockets!
It must be a Monday...
Wish we could have been there
