Lots of things going on with the Connor boys

Hey there to all. First of all, I forgot to tell everyone there would be no blog last night. Why? Well. for one, we had a n early appointment with Brady. Why else? I could not keep my eyes open. You know that point where you are so tired, that your eyes roll into your head, and it feels like it weighs twenty pounds, and you keep dropping it backwards? That was me on the way home from the hospital last night. Normally I get a little sleepy, but wake up when we get close to home. Not last night. Even in the driveway, I was still head bobbing. I got into the house, fed Brady, and fell on the couch. he is not really sleeping that well at night so we were up til about 430 a.m. with him. Then we were up early for his Renal ultrasound appointment. We headed down to the hospital for his appointment, and then I went up to see Patrick.

Brady
First, Brady had his first rehab appointment yesterday. It went well. I forgot to take pictures of him on the mat. We met with the rehab doctor and his intern. They placed him on a mat, and he just laid there like a wet noodle. It was so funny. They decided to flip him on his back to see what he could do. They moved his little arms around to see if he would grip his fingers, and pull his arms back. They said he had strong arms. They stood him up, and he tried to do it. They laid him on his stomach, and then he held him to see if his neck was strong. They shook toys to see if he would listen and move his head both ways.  He favors looking to his right side a little, but the nurses all say that is normal being that they enter the crib from that way. Basically they said he looked very good, and we just have to play with him and his arms to keep him going.

He had his renal ultrasound today. We don't know the results on that yet. I did remember  to take pictures while there for that though.

                                                                                  Getting his kidney ultrasound
He did such a good job, and only cried because he was hungry.

Patrick
Patrick did very well last night.  He was holding stable on 1.5 liters, and still "sating" in the 90's. They decided to do a little test, and move him down to 1 liters to see how we would do. He stayed strong, and held up in the high 80's and 90's.  They wrote down the order for him to stay there. If he started to "dsat" they would move him back up. They also took some cultures from him because he has been pooping so much. His nurse was nervous because he was going a lot, and there was some blood in it. He had that little fissure a month or so back, and they didn't know if it was acting up again. They sent out to make sure that it wasn't a virus, or some bacteria. The Rotavirus culture came back negative, but we don't know about the other one yet. He looks good otherwise. He drank his whole bottle for me, and did it fast. I have lots of pictures of him from last night, and a few from today. He looks good this week, so I am waiting on bad news. Hopefully he will have it good for a while.

Overall the boys had a good night. I am hoping it lasts for them. I can't wait to have Patrick home. Also, I finally took some pics of Brady at home!
