Why hello there to all my little Connor bloggies. How are you? Hope you are all good. We are good here. We did a little Halloween decorating today, so I am going to get some good pics with Brady tomorrow. By the time we were done today, it was dark and the bugs were out, so I didn't want to bring him outside. So, I realized today that I am running out of things to write about. I've noticed the last few posts about the boys have been short. There is not a lot to tell you about. This is a good thing. This means that Brady is doing well, and that Patrick is getting better. The less things about Patrick that I have to write about, means that there are fewer things that are going wrong in the NICU. I love that. I also love that this means that I will have so much to blog about when they get home. It's going to be like a new book, full of new chapters about growing up, visiting doctors, and making sure that they are staying happy and healthy. So, don't fret my loves, the blog will continue, as long as you all keep reading. The new stories will probably bring much needed comic relief, as you all watch Craig and I attempting to be parents. I'm sure there will be some stories that will make you wonder about the doctor who sent us home with babies. Silly, silly doctors. So, stayed tuned, it should be interesting. Okay, let's get on to the main event.
Patrick
My little man Patrick is holding steady. He looked good tonight. even the doctor said that he was having a good week. He finished his whole bottle tonight within like 20 minutes. He finished all of his bottles today except for 1 1/2. He was a little tired, and had to have a little bit of each gavaged. No biggie, he is doing well. Tonight he was on room air for most of the night. Sweeet. He was on 2 liters, and doing well. He was off of the heated line and on a regular line. He was "sating" well, so she turned him down to 1 liter to see how he would do. He did well. He stayed in the 80s to 90's, and seemed to be holding on. That is such an improvement! I'm really proud of him this week. If he stays on room air, they will write the orders to go to 1 liter, and then eventually off oxygen. After that, it just comes down to him nippling all of his feeds. After that, he comes home. I can't wait for that day. He is 5 pounds 3 ounces still. He is growing out of his preemie clothes. His little onesies are getting small on him, the long sleeves are now half sleeves. He is no where near newborn sized clothes yet, but he is getting to big for the smaller stuff. Why is there not a middles size in between preemie and newborn. let's call it "Preborns," because let's face it, that's what they are right? I'm going to have to retire his clothes soon! His little tushy looked better today, but he was still super cranky when we changed his diaper. He's still getting his butt treatment, but it is helping!
Look at that belly!
He doesn't sit still for pictures anymore, haha.
Brady
Little Brady is hanging in there. He is eating more and more everyday. He was able to hang out with grandma today while Craig and I went to the hospital. she said he did good tonight. He took all of his bottle, and went right back to sleep. He is sleeping almost 4 hours in between feeding. He is doing very well. He gets a little fussy when he first wakes up, but once the bottle is in his mouth, he is happy. Tomorrow I am going to take some pics of him outside with the Halloween stuff, so they should be some cute ones.
Oh hi everyone!
Back to sleeping... I will never get tired of saying that He is a good sleeper.
Alright then, till tomorrow! Have a great day everyone!
